Bell Out as Boys and Girls Club Director

June 20th, 2013 - By Charles Choate

Officials with the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Tennessee have announced a change in operations.

Reports said Vencent Bell, the Chief Professional Officer, will not be issued a new contract.

In an email from Portis Tanner, the report stated the board had decided to go in a “different direction”.

Bell started in the position in May of 2012, after former CPO Ron Green resigned to take on a new job out of state.

Tanner said in his statement that longtime unit director Tracy Boucher, and the Boys and Girls Club staff, will “continue to do a wonderful job in serving the youth of this community.”

The staff works with more than 485 children from the community on an annual basis, and averages a daily attendence of about 123 per day.
