Benefit for Local Child

November 13th, 2012 - By Steve James

A benefit will be held this Saturday to help a Union City boy and his family with medical expenses.

Three year old Hudson Hayes, the son of Scottie and Michelle Hayes, was born with multiple medical conditions. He’s seen doctors all over the country, and the family was told he has a connective tissue disorder. Hudson’s father Scottie, is currently serving in the military and he’s stationed in Saudi Arabia.

Hudson is undergoing treatments each month at a Cincinnati hospital to strengthen his back enough for a surgery coming up in February.

Hudson’s mom Michelle, said even with all the setbacks he’s had, the young boy still is always upbeat and has a great personality

The Spaghetti Supper Benefit called “Hudson’s Hope” will be Saturday from five o’clock until 7:30 at the Obion County Fairgrounds. Plates can be purchased early for five dollars a piece, and they’re six dollars at the door.

Donations can be dropped off and tickets can be purchased at Commercial Bank in Union City, Foundation Bank in Obion, Blondie’s in Troy, Second Glance in Union City, and Obion Farmer’s Co-op in Obion.
