Bethel President Retires

Bethel University President Robert Prosser will retire on July 31st of this year.

 

The official announcement of Prosser’s retirement plans happened Tuesday, June the 18th at a Bethel University dinner held in Murfreesboro at the 183rd General Assembly of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

 

When Prosser retires in July, it will mark the completion of a 15 year term as president of the university. He assumed the role of Interim President in July of 1998, then became the 39th President in February 1999.

 

Walter Butler, Director of Financial Affairs at Bethel, will assume the role of Interim President upon Prosser’s retirement.
