Bomb Threat Arrest in Calloway

handcuffsKentucky State Police have made an arrest in connection with a bomb threat at Calloway County High School on Monday.

Reports said Post 1 Mayfield was contacted by the Calloway County Sheriff’s office, indicating a threat had been issued pertaining to a bomb being discovered in the girl’s bathroom.

Students from the high school and middle school were evacuated and a search was conducted by officers and a canine unit.

After over two hours, the school was deemed to be safe and students were re-admitted.

Following an on-scene investigation, a juvenile was charged with one count of 1st Degree Terroristic Threatening, and was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
