After a two hour rain delay, the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs 5-2 last night at Busch Stadium.

St. Louis broke a scoreless game in the 4th inning, when Yadier Molina doubled with Carlos Beltran and Matt Holliday on base.

In the 7th inning, St. Louis added a run when a ground ball by Pete Kozma turned into a controversial play, leading to the ejection of Cubs manager Dale Sveum.

Shane Robinson and Allen Craig each contributed RBI sacrifice flies to cap off the Redbird scoring.

Shelby Miller got the win for the Cardinals, boosting his record to (8-4), while Edward Mujica earned his 20th save in the closing role.

The Cardinals and Cubs will play Game 2 of their series tonight, with broadcast time on 1049 KYTN set to start at 6:20.
