The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Washington Nationals 3-2 last night, with Shelby Miller picking up his third win of the season.

The Redbirds took a 2-0 lead in the 3rd inning, when Allen Craig doubled with two men on.

The Nationals battled back to tie the game in the 4th, with Anthony Redon getting the first hit of his career.

The winning hit for St. Louis came in the 6th inning, when Yadier Molina drove in Matt Holliday.

Shelby Miller pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing four hits while striking out eight.

The Cardinals and Nationals play Game 2 of the series tonight, with broadcast time on 1049 KYTN set for 5:10.
