The Cincinnati Reds stretched the St. Louis Cardinals losing to three games with a 2-1 win at Busch Stadium last night.

The Reds got to Cardinal starter Adam Wainwright in the 1st inning, when first baseman Joey Votto collected an RBI.

Cincinnati took a 2-0 lead in the 4th, when Xavier Paul collected an RBI.

St. Louis cut the lead to one run in the 8th inning, when Yadier Molina came to the plate and delivered an RBI double off the outfield wall.

The loss dropped the Cardinals to (14-11) on the year, with Wainwright now at (4-2).

The Redbirds will try to break the losing streak tonight in Game 2 of the series, with broadcast time set for 6:20.
