Central’s Goodman a Finalist for “Miss Basketball”

The finalists for the Tennessee “Mr. Basketball” and “Miss Basketball” have been announced, and Obion County Central’s Brandi Goodman has been selected.

Goodman is one of three players for the Class-2A “Miss Basketball” title, along with Elizabeth Masengil of McMinn Central, and Abbey Sissom of Cannon County.

Goodman has already signed with the University of Memphis to continue her college playing career.

In Division II-A, Eliza Edwards, of USJ, is also a finalist for the “Miss Basketball” honor.

On the boys side, in Class-2A, A.J. Merriweather is a candidate, while Robert Hubbs, of Dyer County High School, is a finalist in Class-3A.

The winners of “Mr. and Miss Basketball” in Class A, 2A and 3A will be named on March 9th at the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State.

Division I and II winners will be announced on March 2nd at Allen Arena at Lipscomb University.
