Chimes for Charity Telethon Begins

The annual Chimes for Charity telethon will begin its first, of four night run, tonight at Second Baptist Church, here in Union City.

The telethon will run each night from 6:00 until 7:30, with former Jaycees president Jim Adcock serving as the guest emcee.

Tonight, Union City Director of Schools Gary Houston, Union City Elementary School principal George Leake and past J’Cettes president and Chimes Chairman Catherine Nailing are the guests on the program.

Entertainment tonight will be provided by Pleasant Valley Preschool, Obion County Children’s Chorus and Exchange Street Church of Christ children’s group.

The goal for this year is $55,000.
