County Unemployment Numbers

The unemployment rates increased slightly in many of the 91 out of the 95 counties in Tennessee including several local ones.

For the month of June Weakley County had the 6th highest rate in the state coming in at 12.8 percent, which increased from May’s rate of 11.5 percent. Obion County came in at 12.2 percent which increased from 11.7 percent.

Gibson County currently has the 4th highest rate at 13.1 percent and that was an increase from 12.6 percent. Carroll County has the 9th highest rate at 12.6 percent which increased from an even 12 percent.

Lake County currently has an unemployment rate of 11.2 percent, Dyer County came in at 11.7 and Henry County is at 11.2 percent .

Scott County had the highest rate at 18.1 and the lowest was Williamson County at 6.1 percent.
