Federal Warrant Leads to Additional Charges

A federal warrant arrest by officers from Union City and Dyer County, has led to additional charges against a Union City couple.

Union City Investigator Derrick O’Dell reported that he and Police Chief Perry Barfield were joined by Dyer County Investigator Stoney Hughes for an arrest of 41 year old David Lusk, of 401 Westview Street.

Lusk was wanted in Kentucky for the sale of Amphetamine.

At the Lusk home, officers found approximately one gram of “ice” methamphetamine on Lusk’s possession, along with a drug pipe.

In a garage area, officers also found 26 additional grams of “ice” meth, along with digital scales, some marijuana, prescription pills and other items.

A loaded .380 pistol was also located, along with a drug smoking pipe in the purse of his wife, 27 year old Jennifer Lusk.

Both were charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Within 1,000 Feet of a School Zone, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Schedule 4 Drug Within 1,000 Feet of a School Zone.

David Lusk was also additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
