Former Murray State Player Arrested

Kelvin Brown    A former Murray State University basketball player was arrested in Obion County, Tennessee, after a chase from Fulton County, Kentucky authorities at speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

Fulton County Sheriff’s reports said 30 year old Kelvin Brown eluded deputies from a traffic stop late Friday night, and headed towards the Tennessee State Line.

Reports said the chase resulted in speeds of nearly 120 miles per hour, with Brown blowing through the intersection at Woodland Mills near 100 miles per hour.

Brown’s vehicle was finally stopped in Woodland Mills by deputies from the Obion County Sheriff’s Department, after nearly hitting three other vehicles.

Brown now lives in Hickman, and faces multiple charges in Kentucky, along with warrants for other unrelated charges in Arkansas.

Brown was released from the Racers basketball team in 2004, after being arrested twice in a six month period on marijuana and unlawful theft charges.

His recent charges in Fulton County again include Possession of Marijuana, along with No Operators License, and three counts of Wanton Endangerment involving police officers.
