in highschool basketball action at Gleason last night…

The Bulldogs and the Lions split a pair of games. Gleason won the openning girls’ contest over Dresden 62-42. The Dresden Lions took the night cap, defeating Gleason 72-42

In college baskeball…

The UTM women trumped the St. Louis Billikens 78-62 last night at the Elam Center. The Skyhawks lead throughout much of the contest, going into the half with a 37-29 lead. They would widen that gap through the second period to win by 16 points.

With the win, the Skyhawks improve to 4-6. They have yet to play an OVC game. They next host Purdue, this Sunday at the Elam Center.

No Obion County school games due to flu and strep throat outbreak. All schools out until Tuesday
