January 12th, 2013 - By Steve James

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a Gibson County man on charges of child abuse.

According to a release, 35 year old Samuel Edmiston of Milan was charged with aggravated child abuse after he allegedly shook his two month old son Levi Edmiston at his home because the child would not stop crying.

The baby was taken to an area hospital because he was seizing, but was transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was diagnosed with a brain bleed.

Samuel Edmiston is currently in the Gibson County Jail on a $75,00 dollar bond.
