This weekend, all West Tennessee Law Enforcement agencies will be increasing enforcement efforts in a program called “Hands across the Border”

Sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols will be conducted Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th between the hours of 6pm and 3am

Officers will concentrate their enforcement efforts on removing impaired drivers from the roadways. They’ll also be enforcing non-compliance with the seat belt law and child restraint laws

In conjunction with this, the Dresden Police will have Saturation Patrols on Friday and there’s a sobriety checkpoint scheduled for Saturday from ten until midnight at the intersection of East Main Street and Taylor Street.

Also. between the hours of ten and eleven Friday night, the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, along with Greenfield and Sharon Police Departments, will be conducting a sobriety check point on Hwy 45 outside of Sharon
