Injuries From Union City Accident

November 29th, 2012 - By Charles Choate

Two people were taken to the Med in Memphis after a two vehicle crash in Union City Wednesday morning.

Union City police reports said officers were called to North Morgan and Everett Boulevard, where a 2012 Freightliner had struck a 2003 Grand Marquis.

Reports said the car, driven by 79 year old Jamie Thomas of Brownsville, pulled into the path of the tractor trailer driven by 49 year old Micheal Easterlink, of Waynesboro, Mississippi.

Both Thomas and a passenger, 83 year old William Thomas Sr., were transported to the Med with injuries.

Another passenger in the car, 54 year old William Thomas Jr., and Easterlink, were not injured in the crash.

Union City police were assisted by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, with the investigation continuing.
