Last Full Day of Free Medical Services

July 17th, 2013 - By Steve James

Today is the last full day to receive free medical services at the Hope of Martin Event at Martin Middle School.

Over 2500 area residents have been served and received over $400,000 dollars worth of free medical care.

The dental care part of the program has been one of the most in demand services since they opened their doors last Tuesday. So far, the staff has extracted over 1000 teeth and filled around 150 cavities.

Just on dental alone, military personnel has provided an estimated $250,000 dollars in free care

Once again they’ll be set up from eight this morning until seven tonight. Today is also they last day the vision staff will be making eyeglasses.

Some services will be offered until around noon on Thursday but after that, all stations will start the process of packing up materials and the military staff will start shipping out.

Two similar medical service events are in the works in Dyersburg and Mayfield and more information on them will be released soon.
