Man Chases Troopers With Tractor

December 12th, 2012 - By Charles Choate

A Graves County man was arrested after he attempted to harm Kentucky State Police troopers and their vehicles with a tractor.

Mayfield Post 1 reports said troopers were called to KY 1890 in Farmington, where 45 year old Micheal Rose was involved in a domestic dispute at a residence.

At the scene, troopers saw Rose leaving the home on a Ford 7710 tractor with an attached front end loader.

During attempts to stop the tractor, troopers were successful in avoiding Rose, who tried to ram their cruisers.

After Rose took the farm machinery into a field, troopers began pursuit on foot, only to have the suspect lower the front end loader in attempts to run over the officers.

He was eventually subdued by the two troopers, after being struck by a shot from an Electronic Control Device.

Rose now faces two counts of Attempt to Commit Murder of a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Fleeing Police.
