New Court Dates Set for Weakley County Cases

New court dates have been set for several high profile Weakley County cases.

Following indictments from the Grand Jury, over 40 individuals appeared yesterday in Circuit Court before Judge Bill Acree for arraignment.

Among those at the hearing were Cortez Bowen, Jeremy Anderson, Quinton McClerkin, and Richard Taylor who are all charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and theft for allegedly robbing two UT Martin students at gun point.

All four men pled not guilty to the charges and will appear in front of Judge Acree again on Thursday March the 14th

Also having having an arrangement was Steven McMillian and Amber Plunk who are charged with the attempted murder of Plunk’s husband Rusty Plunk. They pled not guilty and will appear again in Circuit Court in just a few weeks on Thursday January the 24th

Also arraigned on kidnapping charges was Greenfield resident Athanasios Edmonston who’s accused of kidnapping a Brentwood woman at gun point and bringing her to Weakley County. He also pled not guilty and will be back in court on Thursday February the 21st.
