January 2nd, 2013 - By Steve James

One of the Weakley County men on probation for torturing a puppy to death last May will appear in court this afternoon for new charges he picked up last month.

Preston Ray Odle of Dresden was charged in December for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and contributing to the delinquency of a minor for an incident in which Odle was reportedly driving a vehicle while a minor was shooting at a deer.

He’s currently being held on a $25,000 bond.

Odle is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on the charges this afternoon at one o’clock. .

Odle will then be in front of Judge Bill Acree on Thursday January the 17th in circuit court to determine if he violated his probation with these new charges.

Judge Acree is the same judge who handed down the probation sentence on the animal cruelty charges.

If found guilty of violating his probation, Odle could face up to two years in prison.
