Pair Accused of Attempted Murder Enter Plea

The case of a Weakley County woman and Trezevant man charged with the attempted murder of her husband has ended with a plea agreement.

28 year old Amber Plunk of Sharon and 39 year old Steven McMillin of Trezevant were originally arrested back in October on charges of attempted 1st degree murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder following an investigation after her husband Rusty Plunk was found shot at the Plunk home in Sharon.

According to Attorney General Tommy Thomas, both pled guilty yesterday to the lesser charge of aggravated assault.

The charge carries a maximum of five years within the Tennessee Department of Corrections and both have to serve at least 30 percent of the sentence
