The St. Louis Cardinals were held to only one hit last night, as the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Redbirds 5-0 at PNC Park.

Pittsburgh actually got all the run support they needed in the game, on an RBI single by Travis Snider in the first inning.

With two outs in the sixth inning, Neil Walker doubled the score off of Cardinal starting pitcher Shelby Miller.

After manager Mike Matheny went to his bullpen, Pittsburgh added additional runs, including this RBI by Gabe Sanchez in the eighth inning.

Carlos Beltran delivered the only hit for the Cardinals in the game, when he doubled in the first inning.

A.J. Burnett picked up the win for the Pirates, striking out eight Cardinal batters in his seven innings of work.

The Cardinals take on Philadelphia tonight, with broadcast time on 1049 KYTN set for 5:10.
