Screening and Panel Discussion about Energy

April 3rd, 2013 - By Steve James

UT Martin’s Earth Science Honor Society Sigma Gamma Eplison is hosting a screening of a documentary about energy resources next week in the Watkins Auditorium.

The documentary is called “Switch” and it gives a look at the world’s leading energy sites, many of which have never been seen on film.

It explores the uses, misuses and potential of coal, solar, oil and biofuel resources, as well as addressing issues raised by government regulations, industry standards, and academic research surrounding global energy.

After the viewing, Associate Professor of Geology, Dr. Stan Dunagan, will moderate a scientific discussion panel of personalities with various energy backgrounds, including recyclables, biofuels and oil

The event is free and open to the public and gets underway at seven o’clock on Tuesday April the 9th in the Watkins Auditorium.
