South Fulton Woman Charged With Animal Cruelty

October 26th, 2012 - By Steve James

A South Fulton woman was charged with animal cruelty after officials discovered a dozen dogs and cats in her home.

The police received a call about several dogs in a home on Broadway owned by Donna Carol Michuda.

Reports said when the authorities arrived, they could smell animal waste from outside, and when they entered, the floors were covered with urine and feces.

A total of ten dogs and two cats were found in the house, with five of the dogs locked in a room in complete darkness.

The dogs were taken to an area animal clinic where three had to be put down because of their condition.

The rest were put in foster care after receiving medical treatment. Ms. Michuda has been charged with several counts of animal cruelty because of the incident.
