A 15 hit attack propeled the St. Louis Cardinals to a 6-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers last night at Miller Park.

Facing their former teammate Kyle Lohse on the mound, the Redbirds took a 2-0 lead in the 3rd inning, when Matt Holliday homered with Matt Carpenter on base.

St. Louis extended the lead to 4-0 in the 5th inning, with two RBI’s from centerfielder Jon Jay.

Carlos Beltran made the score 5-1 in the 7th inning, with a shot that left the park.

Shelby Miller got the win for St. Louis and is (4-2) on the year, while Lohse fell to (1-3) for Milwaukee.

The Cardinals and Brewers play again this afternoon, with broadcast time on 1049 KYTN set for 2:10.


Titans Caravan:

The Tennessee Titans Caravan made a stop in Union City and Martin yesterday. The group appeared at Lake Road Elementary School for a “Play 60” program, then met with the public at Martin to sign autographs and meet with fans. While in Martin, Delanie Walker said he was excited for the chance to play for the Titans and their owner Bud Adams this season, after coming over from the San Francisco 49ers. Also on the trip was teammate George Wilson, the “Voice of the Titans” Mike Keith and mascot T-Rac.


NBA Playoffs:

Memphis won their series with a 118-105 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. It was also the New York Knicks advancing with an 88-80 win over Boston. The Indiana Pacer beat Atlanta 81-73 to win that series 4-2, and Oklahoma City knocked out Houston with a 103-94 win.
