Skyhawk Punter Honored:

UT-Martin punter James Satterfield was honored as the Ohio Valley Conference “Player of the Week” by College Football Performance Awards.

Satterfield averaged 44 yards per punt in the Skyhawks home loss to Eastern Kentucky.

The Skyhawk kicker punted six times during the game, including a 70-yarder, which is the longest in school history.

 

OVC “Player of the Week”:

Murray State running back Jaamal Berry has been named by the OVC as the “Newcomer of the Week”.

Berry transferred to the Racers from Ohio State this season, and carried the football 13 times for 142 yards against Tennessee Tech. The Racers won the game 70-35. This also marks the second time Berry has won the weekly honor by the league.

 

Nationally Ranked:

The Eastern Kentucky Colonels moved up three spots in the latest FCS College Football Polls. The Colonels are now 16th after their come-from-behind 28-16 win over UT-martin on the road. Also entering the Top-25 this week is (5-0) Tennessee State. The Tigers are listed at 24th after beating non-conference opponent Arkansas Pine-Bluff 40-13 Saturday in Nashville.
