Police Officers Involved in Fulton Shooting

kspKentucky State Police have reported the shooting of a man, who had barricaded himself inside the Royal Ridge Apartment complex in Fulton last night.

Reports said the incident occurred just before midnight, at the complex just off Highway 51, and involved officers from both the Fulton Police Department and South Fulton Police Department, along with a State Trooper.

Post 1 Public Affairs Trooper Jay Thomas said officers shot 56 year old Keith Dildine after he exited his apartment and began to exchange gunfire.

Dildine was taken to Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton following the shooting, and was later airlifted to the Med in Memphis in critical condition.

Dildine will be facing two counts of Criminal Attempt of Murder on a Police Officer, according to the report.

Investigators were still at the scene this morning and more information could be released later today.
