The Three UTM Students Have Hearing Today

December 19th, 2012 - By Steve James

The three UT Martin students charged with robbery and kidnapping have their preliminary hearing this afternoon.

22 year old Jeremy Anderson of Knoxville, 21 year old Cortez Bowen of Memphis, and 19 year old Richard Taylor of Nashville, all face charges of aggravated kidnapping and especially aggravated robbery after they allegedly held two students at gunpoint and demanded money and drugs from them.

A fourth suspect, 17 year old Quinton McClerkin of Paris, faces the same charges and his case will be heard by the January term of the grand jury on Monday the 7th.

The three will appear before Judge Tommy Moore at one o’clock this afternoon at the Weakley County Jail.
