Two More Arrested on Meth Charges in Weakley County

January 29th, 2013 - By Steve James

Two more have been arrested in Weakley County on meth related charges.

According to a release, 41 year old Bobbie Jean Stanford and 33 year old Bradley Steinberg were arrested after a meth lab was found near their house on Shades Bridge Road.

This is the 9th meth lab or lab dump site the Sheriff’s Department has discovered this month.

24 meth labs were discovered in the County in 2012 and in 2011, only four were found.

Authorities say one of the causes of the increase in the new “Shake and Bake” method meth cookers are using.

That’s where they use a container such as a two liter soda bottle, mix the ingredients and then shake it to mix them. The meth oil then comes to the top and is extracted.
