Unsolved Cases For the Year In Martin

December 27th, 2012 - By Steve James

With the year coming to the end, the Martin Police are asking the community’s help with some of the unsolved crimes in the city.

There were several cases of car burglaries and some catalytic converters thefts around town over the past year that haven’t been closed yet, but the biggest unsolved incidents involved shootings.

Back in May, 20 year old Josh Price was shot in the back at the intersection of Lake View Circle and Old Fulton Road after getting off work from the Hearth Restaurant. The incident left Price in a wheelchair.

Authorities have said they’re working several leads in the case, but no arrest have been made yet.

The other unsolved shooting occurred just earlier this month, Martin resident Terrance Carter was walking on Oakland Street when he was reportedly shot in the ankle.

The biggest unsolved case in Martin is still the 2011 shooting death of 22 year old Dresden native Justin Parker at the Hut Nut nightclub.

Martin Police Investigator Lt. Robbie Hatler says the Department is still very much involved in the investigation and urges anyone who might have details to come forward.

Anyone with information about any of theses unsolved crimes is asked to contact the Martin Police or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line.
