Weakley County Election

In other local races, two Weakley County cities now have women at the mayor position.

 

In Gleason, Diane Poole Defeated incumbent Jack Dunning 388 to 258. Poole wanted to thank the voters and was looking forward to helping the city however she can

 

 

In Greenfield, former board member Cindy McAdams won the mayor spot with 565 votes over Lisa Hillard who had 249 votes, and Bobby Morris came in with 89.

 

In the Ward 2 Alderman race in Martin David Sudberry defeated incumbent Johnny Tuck 484 to 417. Sudberry said he was happy with the clean campaign he had with Mr. Tuck and was looking forward to helping the city of Martin.

 

 

Ward One Alderman Danny Nanney and Ward Three Alderman Randy Edwards ran unopposed and received 1351 and 724 votes respectively.

 

 

Sharon Mayor Monroe Ary defeated Scott Vaughan 323 to 125.

In the race for the two Sharon Alderman Seats, it was Stewart Broussard with 234 votes and Wanda Hamlin with 225 Jason Plunk ran unopposed for a vacant seat and received 350 votes.

 

In Dresden all three at large alderman were elected and they were Joyce Hurt with 801 votes, Jeff Washburn with 769 and Dick Tidwell with 657.

 

In the large field for the four Greenfield alderman spots on the ballot, James Roy Pope came in with 561, Paul Grooms and Donald Ray High had 416 votes apiece and Troy Jones had 407 votes.

 

The four Alderman seats in Gleason went to Jerry Connell with 450 votes, Michael Ray Morris with 393, Kris Morse with 338 and Charles Bookout had 320 votes.
